This policy explains what data Meivish Cloud Player handles when you connect a cloud service and play videos.

Summary

Meivish does not operate user accounts or an app server. The app connects your device directly to the selected cloud service, stores app state locally, and streams videos from your cloud storage to your device. It does not upload, move, copy, edit, or delete your videos.

Data the app handles

  • Cloud service credentials: access tokens, refresh tokens, and expiry information required to keep a connected identity authorized.
  • Connected identity data: the cloud service, a stable identity identifier supplied by that service, display name, and email address when supplied.
  • Library data: local library ID and name, and the source folder's ID, name, and path.
  • Playback data: folder and video identifiers, resume playback position, audio and subtitle selections, and the app-wide volume setting.
  • Cloud content data: folder and video names and IDs, media type, thumbnails, and playback URLs fetched as needed, plus authorization headers used for cloud service requests.
  • Premium unlock state: a locally cached entitlement result. Google Play and the App Store process purchases on their respective platforms; Meivish does not receive payment-card details.
  • Advertising data: on Android Phone builds, Google Mobile Ads may process an advertising identifier, IP address, device and app information, approximate location, and ad interaction information to request and measure banner advertising.

How data is used

The app uses this data only to authenticate connected identities, display the selected library, play videos, remember playback state, show banner advertising to eligible non-Premium Android Phone users, and determine whether Premium features are available. Meivish does not sell personal data.

Storage and security

Connected identity, library, and playback data stay on the device. Android credentials are encrypted with a device-bound AndroidKeyStore key. iPhone and iPad credentials use Keychain with device-only accessibility. Desktop app data is stored in the current user's local application data.

Folder metadata is cached in memory for up to five minutes. Meivish does not persist OneDrive preauthenticated video URLs. Android backup and device transfer are disabled for app data.

Services that receive data

Microsoft receives authentication and Microsoft Graph requests when you use OneDrive. Google receives authentication and Google Drive requests when you use Google Drive. Google Play or Apple's App Store may receive purchase and restore requests on their respective platforms. Those companies process data under their own policies.

Use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Meivish does not share, transfer, or disclose Google user data to third parties. Google user data is processed locally on your device and is sent only to Google as needed to authenticate your connected identity, browse Google Drive, and stream your selected videos. It is not used for advertising.

On eligible Android Phone builds, Google Mobile Ads receives banner ad requests and processes advertising data under Google's Privacy Policy. Meivish does not send Google Drive content, folder names, video names, or Connected identity data to the advertising service.

Ads and diagnostics

Eligible Android Phone builds may display a Google Mobile Ads banner on non-empty Browse screens. Ads are not shown on Android TV, desktop, iPhone, iPad, authentication, Settings, playback, loading, error, or empty states. The app does not currently include analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.

Retention and deletion

Removing a library deletes its local data, including cached browse data and playback state. Removing a connected identity clears its credentials, libraries, and playback state. Changing a source folder refreshes that library's cached browse data while preserving its playback state. If a store confirms loss of Premium entitlement, the app retains the active connected identity and active library and disconnects or removes the others after you acknowledge the change. Cleanup may be postponed until a valid active library is available. You can also revoke cloud service access in your Microsoft or Google security settings. Revoking access may not invalidate an already-issued token or playback URL immediately.

Local app data follows the storage lifecycle of each platform. Use any app-data removal options available on your platform to clear it. Do not rely on uninstall alone to revoke cloud service authorization.

Children

Meivish is not directed to children under 13. Do not use the app if local law does not permit you to grant the required cloud service access.
